We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team.

As a Direct Support Professional, you will be responsible for providing direct care and support to individuals with disabilities, helping them lead fulfilling lives and promoting their independence.

You will play a crucial role in assisting individuals with daily activities, personal care, community integration, and fostering meaningful relationships.


Responsibilities:
Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their safety, well-being, and comfort.
Assist individuals with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and medication administration, following established protocols and guidelines.
Support individuals in daily activities, such as meal preparation, housekeeping, and transportation, while promoting their independence and choice.

Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, ensuring that goals and objectives are met.

Foster a positive and inclusive environment by promoting socialization, community integration, and participation in recreational activities.

Document and maintain accurate records of individual progress, incidents, and any changes in behavior or health status, adhering to confidentiality and privacy policies.

Collaborate with families, guardians, and other professionals to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
Attend training sessions, workshops, and team meetings to enhance knowledge and skills in providing quality care.
Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in a related field is a plus.
Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a similar caregiving role is preferred.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish meaningful relationships with individuals and their families.

Compassionate and patient nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Ability to adapt to changing needs and situations, while maintaining professionalism and composure.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations effectively.
Basic computer skills and proficiency in documenting and maintaining accurate records.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, as some travel may be required.
