A middle school in the Rock Hill, South Carolina area is looking to find a knowledgeable and kind Special Education Teacher (SPED) to join their team for the full school year. As a Special Education Teacher, you will provide meaningful services to students in grades 6th - 8th We are looking for someone to support our students with severe disabilities by creating a calm learning environment, building relationships with students, and working with them to meet them where they are.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid South CarolinaTeaching Certificate
  • Must have a South CarolinaSpecial Education Certificate
  • Must have Bachelors or Masters Degree in Special Education, or related field

Position Details:

  • August 5, May 23, 2025
  • Caseload: 6th - 8th grade students, severe intellectual disabilities specific caseload details will be discussed during the interview process
  • Pay Range: $20 - $40 per hour, depending on previous experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IEPs that cater to the specific needs of each student, setting achievable and measurable educational goals.
  • Foster a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment in which students can thrive.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure that students receive the comprehensive support they need.
  • Maintain detailed records of students' progress and adapt educational plans as necessary.
