Summary

The Order Entry Specialist will be chiefly responsible for executing order entry and associated supplemental and/or follow-up activities for the Hospitality & Contract team

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Enter all purchase orders into SAP
  • Identify custom specifications and notations on client orders
  • Create new item SKUs in the system for custom items
  • Send metal and fabric finish samples to designers for pre-production approval
  • Generate pro-forma invoices and send to Client with payment forms
  • Disseminate balance due invoices to Clients prior to order shipment
  • Serve as a client contact for order and invoicing inquiries
Qualifications
  • Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior experience in Design, Hospitality, and/or Sales environments highly desirable but not required
  • ERP experience required; SAP strongly preferred
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn and retain product assortment and item numbers
  • Possesses a keen eye for detail and focus on producing quality results
  • Utilizes sound judgment, professionalism, and malleability to meet evolving deadlines and deliverables
Work Environment and Physical Demands

The Order Entry Specialist role operates in a professional office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift and/or exert force, up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is generally quiet to moderate. The visual acuity requirements include close vision, depth perception, and color

Position Type/ Work Schedule

This is a full-time position; typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Occasional overtime may be required outside of typical days and hours of work, including Saturday and Sunday.

Travel requirements do not exist for this position.

There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this role.
