Job purpose
Digital Room, Inc. is seeking smart and energetic Packing Associates to work in our growing shipping & receiving department. The ideal candidate should have general shipping knowledge, packing boxes, material handling, with some computer knowledge.
Duties and responsibilities
- Works well in a team environment to ensure all customer merchandise is shipped securely and promptly
- Must be computer savvy and a willingness to learn in-house programs and systems
- Familiar with FedEx, UPS, and USPS shipping programs.
- Accurately processing of orders
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
- Ensure all equipment, tools, and work station are in good working order and is free of any safety hazards.
- Must be available for any required overtime based on business needs.
- Must be proactive with completing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years experience in a Shipping or Receiving position
- Familiarity with normal shipping and receiving methods including familiarity with package carriers.
- Self-motivated individual with the ability to work with minimal supervision and constant direction.
- Commitment to excellence and high quality standards
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Acute attention to detail
- Some computer experience including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines consistently.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a larger group.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
Working conditions
The Production Associate position will work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment with loud noises from machines and varying temperatures depending on weather.
