Job Description Summary:
Radiologic Technologist will be responsible for performing a variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures, supporting other imaging technologists as needed, and may work in different locations.

The technologist should troubleshoot basic maintenance, engage in QA, and address issues related to image processing and archiving.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Carries out a range of diagnostic procedures, including complex ones, with proper technique and providing relevant procedural instructions to patients.
  • Assesses patients for clinical contrast history and potential contra-indications.
  • Adheres to established section and organizational protocols, QA guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Interacts professionally with patients and all care providers by organizing and prioritizing procedures for consistent patient care.
  • Must be willing to rotate within departments and clinics for coverage.
  • Aids Radiologists or medical professionals in invasive and fluoroscopic procedures using equipment to locate anatomical positions accurately.
  • Ensures exam rooms are tidy, orderly, and well-stocked before procedures and ensures compliance with Infection Control standards.
  • Ensures accurate coding and entry of all charges.
  • Adapts appropriately to patient assessment, treatment, and care methods based on individual needs.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and upholds CHRISTUS Health Care's Core values.
  • Performs additional assigned duties.

Requirements:
Education/Skills: Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology school or equivalent. Experience: 1-3 years in a hospital setting preferred. Licenses/Certifications: Current registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, state licensure, and BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
