Job Summary

MedStar Health is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in the MedStar Ambulatory Services Settings. As a Radiology Technologist, you will perform clinical and administrative duties, working under the supervision of a physician to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acquire ordered images, evaluating them for technical quality and sending them to appropriate destinations for interpretation.
  • Comprehend equipment and procedures for all specialists working within the facility.
  • Support the physician in patient examination, testing, and education.
  • Maintain individual credentials for radiography and log systems.
  • Perform multifunctional skills, including spirometry, patient vitals, and BMI, EKGs, vision and hearing testing, splinting, and general patient care under the supervision of the physician.
  • Remove sutures/staples with provider-written orders after exams.
  • Prepare written documentation, including evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, and progress reports.
  • Act as a patient advocate throughout the care process and assist in patient discharge.
Requirements
  • Externship in a medical or ambulatory health setting.
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
  • Radiology Technologist license in the State of Maryland.
  • CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation) certification.
  • 2+ years of medical office experience; experience working with electronic medical records preferred.
