As a systems engineer, you will be supporting various aircraft platforms - both manned and unmanned, as well as unmanned ground vehicles. Your role will involve tasks such as developing requirements, creating system design documents, maintaining analytical models, conducting tests, and much more.
This role will require you to interact with internal and external project teams, company personnel, and customers, making it a diverse and engaging position.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Analyzing customer and stakeholder requirements, breaking them down, deriving new requirements, and assigning them to system elements
- Creating system architectures for both new and existing systems
- Conducting trade studies and exploring engineering concepts to determine optimal requirements
- Developing detailed test plans, reports, and cases based on documentation
- Defining system interfaces, schematics, and design documents
- Leading testing processes and adhering to structured development processes
- Collaborating with the Software Engineering Team on software system requirements
- Participating in the planning, design, and deployment of complex systems
- Conducting peer reviews and reporting project statuses
- Assisting in proposal preparation and presentations
- Traveling to customer sites as required (up to 25% travel expected)
