The Walton County School District is actively seeking two qualified and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to join our team for the upcoming school year. This is a fantastic opportunity for professionals who are passionate about providing high-quality speech and language services to students and making a meaningful impact on their academic and personal development.

Position Details:

Role: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Type: Full-time
School Year: Full
Locations: Multiple school sites within the district
Supervision of SLPAs: Not applicable
Teletherapy: Not available - in-person services only

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students across multiple school sites within the district.
  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support students' speech and language needs.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of student progress and therapy sessions.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and plan appropriate interventions.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with speech and language needs.
  • Offer consultation services to classroom teachers to support the integration of speech and language strategies within the classroom setting.
Qualifications:
  • Must hold a valid Speech-Language Pathologist license.
  • Experience in a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
