Story Behind the Need - Business Group & Key Projects
  • Within the planning efficiency big rock under RSC Automation program, QTS has committed to deliver an EIP creation and management solution and Demand/Supply Simulation interface by Q
  • Post requirement gathering and design completion in April 2024, the team has aligned on delivering a hybrid solution comprising of a purpose-built web application and Oracle EBS for both customer requests.
  • Both customers highlighted the need for an intuitive user interface as the most pressing pain point and a critical component of any solution.
  • The team chose the hybrid solution to address user intuitiveness concerns with Oracle EBS user interfaces and adopt modern web application framework-based web application development.
  • For the hybrid solution, the team requires SDEs and Front-end engineers (FEE) along with UX designers (role approved and active hiring efforts in progress).
  • With 3 blue badge SDEs focused on delivering the core business logic (critical to the business and a strategic investment), the team requires 1 FEE to own the development of user interfaces (tactical) defined by the UX designer and thoroughly reviewed by the PMT from a finished output standpoint and eventually owned by the SDEs who will proactively review code artifacts.
  • With an investment in front end engineers who are skilled at developing intuitive, accessible and modern web and mobile friendly user interfaces, the team will be successful in meeting project timelines while delivering high quality results.
  • The FEE will be provided with user interface mockups by the UX designer, product vision guidance by the PMT and backend APIs and business logic by the SDEs.
  • 1 FEE resource will be leveraged for both the EIP and Demand/Supply Simulation applications.
