Special Requirements

  • The position(s) require(s) a(n) California RN License. You will be required to provide a copy of your license prior to being hired.
  • The position(s) require(s) a(n) CPR Certificate. You will be required to provide a copy of your certificate prior to being hired.
  • Successful completion of a live scan and a preemployment physical (including drug testing for certain civil service classifications) will be required.
  • Wound Care Certification
  • Must have the background and ability to work in collaboration with the skin nurse (LVN) on implementing wound care best practices for the treatment and prevention of pressure injuries.


Must have the background and ability to fully carry out the requirements of the IP based on the needs of the resident population, such as interpreting clinical and laboratory data, identification of infectious disease processes, surveillance and epidemiologic investigation, and preventing and controlling the transmission of infectious agents.


After hired but prior to assuming infection control duties, must be willing to obtain specialized IPC training beyond initial professional training or education.
