We are seeking a highly skilled Endangered Species Act (ESA) Regulatory Lead to support our expanding fisheries and water resources practices.

Summary of Duties

  • Provide expert interpretation of ESA regulations
  • Collaborate with NOAA Fisheries and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
  • Assist federal, state, Tribal, and municipal agencies with ESA compliance
  • Manage consultations on river restoration, hydropower, and irrigation projects
  • Create high-quality reports and technical documents
  • Analyze population trends and project impacts
  • Cultivate client relationships and identify business opportunities
  • Support fish ecology projects as required
  • Work in a multidisciplinary team environment

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) with 5 years of relevant experience
  • 5 years of ESA Section 7 consultation experience
  • Experience in complex projects
  • Training in fisheries ecology or management

Desired Experience

  • Knowledge of NEPA and FERC regulations
  • Regulatory experience in PNW and California
  • Consulting experience
  • Management of fishery resources
  • Published scientific articles in related fields
