Essential Functions:

  • Oversee the planning and implementation of social and recreational activities for children; including summer and vacation programming.
  • Work as a part of a multidisciplinary team to further the emotional, behavioral, and educational development of children.
  • Communicate outcomes of appointments and manage follow up needed in regards to children's care.
  • Actively participate in supervision and professional development opportunities offered at Walker.
  • Provide a therapeutic milieu environment for children, maintaining a safe and healthy environment; and meeting the physical needs of children. Ensure units meet physical standards of licensing at all times.
  • Implement treatment protocol established in children's treatment plans and individual support plans.
  • Properly attend to administrative functions of a childcare worker including attending required meetings; completing written reports; writing tasks and presenting at treatment updates.
  • Provide supervision of children.
  • Follow and implement all Walker policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED; Ability to obtain MAP certification within first three (3) months of employment; Six (6) months prior experience working with children who have emotional and behavioral challenges.


Pay:
$21.00 per hour
