Qualifications and Experience:
  • BA/BS Degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 3 years of similar experience
  • Non-profit experience preferred
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Google Drive products
  • Valid CA Driver's license and auto insurance for business use
  • COVID-19 vaccination, including booster shots, required; accommodations available as legally mandated
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and analyze spreadsheet reports for monthly and quarterly invoices
  • Coordinate with Accounting and AP specialists to gather documents for timely invoicing
  • Attend meetings with funders
  • Collaborate with program staff to meet funder requests
  • Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts
  • Resolve account discrepancies
  • Process and record transactions in the accounting system
  • Contribute to annual budget and performance projections
  • Prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and assist with monthly closures
  • Prepare documents for annual audits
  • Assist with payroll reconciliation and 941 reports
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Support new fund accounting system implementation
  • Assist Controller and Finance Director as needed
