The Riverside University Health System's Behavioral Health Department is actively looking for a Senior Certified Peer Support Specialist Consumer to join their team. This position is based in the Desert Region and offers opportunities to work across Riverside County.

Role Overview
  • Candidates must have personal recovery experience from mental health and substance abuse for a minimum of 1 year.
  • The selected candidates will provide information, support, and advocacy for consumers, offer specialized training, and work alongside a team of behavioral health professionals.
Responsibilities
  • Share personal experiences with others.
  • Provide feedback on service effectiveness.
  • Offer specialized training to other Certified Peer Support Specialists.
  • Collaborate with behavioral health professionals in consumer treatment.
  • Advocate for consumers in the behavioral health system.
Requirements
  • High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.
  • Experience as a consumer of behavioral health or substance recovery services.
  • Medi-Cal Peer Support Certificate required.
  • Experience in dealing with Substance Abuse.
  • Valid Driver's License.
