Job Description

We're seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Principal Advisor - Partnership Development and Stewardship.

Role Overview: As the Principal Advisor, you'll play a crucial role in cultivating and nurturing relationships with national and local partners. Your efforts will directly impact our ability to meet budgetary goals and further our mission. Here are the key responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:
  • Lead ALSAC's Groups and organizations platform, fostering lasting relationships with partners to retain and grow their contributions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate prospecting initiatives.
Prospect Acquisition:
  • Utilize your knowledge of sales, fundraising, and our mission to manage ALSAC's lead prospect program.
  • Develop a growth and business development plan for acquiring new Groups and Organizations.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to execute the prospect plan and secure new national, multi-regional, and regional partners.
  • Track cultivation and solicitation efforts to establish goals.
Skills and Attributes:
  • Sales Skills and Cultivation: Demonstrate proficiency in sales techniques and cultivation strategies.
  • Ambiguity Tolerance: Thrive in an environment with uncertainty and adaptability.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with colleagues across departments.
  • Leadership from Your Seat: Influence and drive results without formal authority.
  • Staffing Leaders: Contribute to donor engagement strategy by staffing leaders effectively.
Strategic Planning:
  • Draft an annual strategic plan, defining fundraising methods and goals for new and existing groups and organizations.
Operational Excellence:
  • Manage recruitment efforts nationwide, ensuring alignment with annual budget and strategic goals.
  • Coordinate prospecting initiatives across ALSAC's platforms.
  • Communicate acquisition activities to the Volunteer and Donor Engagement senior team.
To be successful in this role, you need:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of experience in fundraising, sales, or cultivation.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to understand complex verbal and written instructions.
  • Familiarity with data processing applications.
  • A willingness to travel 40-50%
**This position will be based in Memphis, Tennessee at our National Executive Office**
