PRIMARY FUNCTION/RESPONSIBILTY

The Accounting Administrator will perform a variety of clerical duties. They will work closely with internal team members to ensure that all expenditures are valid and submitted per audit standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage Company-wide debit cards.
    1. Issue new cards and cancel cards as staff turnover and collect appropriate documentation.
    2. Monitor balances to ensure funds are available to users when needed.
    3. Review receipts submitted and that supporting documentation is valid and meets documentation requirements.
    4. Work closely with supervisors and staff across the organization to ensure that expenses are documented thoroughly.
    5. Maintain spreadsheets showing missing documentation and/or receipts.
  • Manage company-wide incoming personal charges needing to be reimbursed through payroll.
    1. Monitor incoming emails and uploads from team members.
    2. Work with Payroll Manager to input reimbursements into ADP Payroll.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • High School or G.E.D. Certification.
  • 3+ years in accounting position
  • 3+ years' experience with Microsoft Excel.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Business Managements, or related field.
  • 5+ years in accounting performing exempt Status duties.
  • 3+ years in nonprofit industry.
  • 5+ years' experience with Microsoft Excel.

Certifications/Licenses/Registrations:

  • Valid Texas Driver's License, good driving record, ability to provide own transportation and proof of current automobile insurance.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND INFORMATION

  • Body mobility to stoop, kneel, bend, reach, and walk (roll) short distances in order to operate equipment.
  • Moderate to heavy lifting up to 15 pounds or more with assistance.
  • Must have the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Must have the ability to give and receive verbal and written instructions (with or without hearing aids).
  • Must have the ability to read fine print, have sustained vision, and peripheral vision (with or without glasses).
  • Environment requires dexterity to remain calm and adapt to fast paced and emotional environments consisting of children with moderate to severe emotional and psychological needs.
  • Home-like settings with varying moderate to high degrees of background noise.
  • Light and ventilation are found in a typical home setting.
  • Campuses are smoke-free, except on permitted campuses in designated areas.
  • Possible injury when lifting or moving if employee fails to use proper body mechanics, or if proper techniques are not used.
