Cloud Solution Architect

Responsible for creating, designing and implementing solution architectures for and managing IT services within private and public cloud environments.

Responsibilities
Work directly with engineering teams validating technology requirements and driving solution roadmaps

Assist in building business cases, ensuring technology requirements and costs align with overall business strategy

Design solution architectures (hardware platforms, OS, NetSmart Solutions and 3rd party offerings) that are scalable, highly available, and fit a cloud

hosted/SaaS/multi-tenant

model

Maintain and troubleshoot multi-site AIX or Linux/UNIX environments and support administration tasks, including patching, configuration of server roles and features, and installation of software package

This position may require availability outside of standard business hours as part of a rotational on-call schedule

Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience

At least 5 years of experience in architecting and managing AIX and Linux/UNIX based systems

At least 3 years of experience in migrating AIX and Linux/UNIX based systems to public cloud hosting environments

Working knowledge of IT standards, concepts, best practices, and procedures

Ability to prioritize attention and workload to focus on client priorities within a time sensitive environment

Strong quantitative, analytical and conceptual thinking skills

Preferred
Experience with enterprise database systems; MS-SQL, Intersystems' Caché, and/or Oracle

Experience with HIPAA and ISO 27000 series security and privacy governance models
