DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Driver License Examiner Assistant, you will directly interact with customers to verify applicant identification, ensure accurate completion of application forms, and enter information into an online driver license application software. You will be responsible for conducting standardized knowledge tests to assess the applicant's comprehension of vehicle code, driving regulations, and relevant traffic control devices. You will also administer vision screenings to applicants using a telebinocular instrument to test for visual acuity. You will enter applicant test results and customer applications for driver licenses services into online software systems, adhering to all aspects of driver and vehicle services' customer service policy. Additionally, you will be accountable for accurately using and documenting the appropriate fee waiver code whenever it is required for a customer transaction.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 80 hours bi-weekly
  • Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch
  • Overtime and travel required
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public.
