The Arc Western Montana is seeking dedicated caregivers to join our team in supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities as a Direct Support Professional for our Overnight AWAKE shift.

The DSP's role is to provide excellent care through positive, confident, and reassuring interactions with clients to assist them in living as independently as possible.

Qualifications for a DSP
Compassionate, respectful, and reliable
Must be at least 17 years of age or older
Ability to pass background check requirements
Ability to effectively communicate in English, including electronically
Pre-employment drug testing (in accordance with Montana State Law)
Related caregiving experience (preferred)
Entry-level position (will provide all training)

Responsibilities & Duties:
Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Personal hygiene cares (toileting and bathing)
Housekeeping duties
Electronic documentation
Medication administration
Meal preparation, cooking, and feeding
Participates in community outings
Monitor the health and safety of clients while they sleep
Assist with programs (educational, skills, crafts)
De-escalate physical & mental behaviors using Mandt training

Shifts:
Overnight-awake shifts @ 11:00pm-7:00am

Relief

Full Time Expectations
30-40 hours per week

Part Time Expectations
under 30 hours per week

Relief Expectations:
Work at least 1 shift per pay period (2 weeks)
Work at least 2 The Arc holidays per year with 1 being Christmas Day or Thanksgiving Day

Make contact with their program manager once per week via phone, email, or in person to provide available to work for the next 2 weeks.

Pay Rate :
$17.00 to $18.00 base
PLUS an additional $1.00/hr for working overnights

Sign-On Bonus:
$300 sign on bonus for Full time new hires.
