CEC Motor and Utility Services has an immediate full-time opportunity for an experienced Procurement Coordinator at our office in Palmetto, FL.

The position includes purchasing parts and materials for our motor and panel shops, and our field service division.

Pay Frequency:

  • Weekly
FLSA Status

:

  • Non-Exempt
Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Must be able to regularly move boxes weighing up to 20 pounds
Work Environment:

  • Temperature-controlled office
Reporting Relationships

:

  • The Procurement Coordinator reports to the Office Manager
Hours:

Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Responsibilities:

  • Obtain quotes from vendors and issue purchase orders
  • Negotiate with vendors for favorable pricing and terms
  • Explore new vendor opportunities and pricing
  • Create and maintain positive relationships with vendors
  • Follow-up on any unreceived back-ordered items
  • Process material returns as needed Qualifications
:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least three (3) years of experience in a Procurement Coordinator or similar role
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Willing to learn
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including strong spelling, grammar, and punctuation
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Experience purchasing for a motor shop, panel shop, and/or a construction-related business is a plus, but not required
  • Obtain quotes from vendors and issue purchase orders
  • Negotiate with vendors for favorable pricing and terms
  • Explore new vendor opportunities and pricing
  • Create and maintain positive relationships with vendors
  • Follow-up on any unreceived back-ordered items
  • Process material returns as needed
