Job Description: RN Mother Baby Unit
Location: 801 E. Wheeler Road, Moses Lake, WA 98837
About the Unit:
- · Number of beds: 8
- · Patient Population: Pregnant women, Level 1 nursery 35 weeks and up.
- · Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:3 Couplets
Shift/Hours:
- Night Shift: 7:00pm-7:30am
- Variable Shift: 36 hrs./wk., variable days/shifts (work 2 day shifts & 1 night shift per week)
Holiday/Weekend Requirement:
- Weekend: RN's need to be available to work every other weekend,
- Night Shift weekends: Friday & Saturday
- Day Shift weekends: Sunday & Monday
- Holidays: All employees at some point or another may be required to work a holiday, however, seniority with nurses allows most to take PTO off. We have On-call/Per diem people that we use to help cover the holidays. If you do work a holiday, then you make time and a half for that time worked.
Pay: $36.64-$68.37 per hour based on experience
Responsibilities:
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering the highest quality patient care according to specific physician orders. This will involve, utilizing your knowledge and skills to educate patients and their families on prevention and healthy habits. Our Mother-Baby Unit nurses work both L&D and postpartum. Approximately 1000 Deliveries per Year, Follow AWHONN Staffing Standards, Rooming in with Baby, Some procedures completed in the Well Baby Nursery.
Must Haves:
- License: Current Washington State RN Licensure
- Certification: AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP (AAP Neonatal Resuscitation Program), Intermediate AWHONN-EFM (Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course, Advanced Fetal Monitoring course will be considered acceptable.) Willing to work with candidates on certifications.
- Experience: New Grads Accepted,
- Education: Associates Degree of Nursing.
