JOB SUMMARY:
- Assisting the Manager, Medical Staff Services in the day-to-day operations of the OSS Health Medical Staff Office (MSO).
- Ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting the integrity of the department.
- Supporting OSS Health's philosophy and goals.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Baccalaureate degree in Business or Healthcare Administration preferred.
- Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of progressive credentialing and enrollment experience required. Direct experience in Medical Staff Services and Provider Enrollment necessary. Certification preferred but not required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assisting the Manager in planning, organizing, and directing day-to-day operations of the Medical Staff Office.
- Maintaining New Provider Insurance Par Listing and ensuring timely updates.
- Coordinating services within the department and with other facilities.
- Ensuring quality control of all operations based on regulatory standards.
- Overseeing provider enrollment operations and facility enrollment.
- Reviewing all Medical Staff applications prior to Committee Presentation.
- Orienting new physicians and providers to policies and procedures.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Acting as a mentor to department staff and supervisor in the absence of the Manager.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Proficiency in English for effective communication.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Sitting at a desk for long periods, handling office equipment, and occasional bending or stooping.
- Ability to operate computer and other equipment.
- May work under pressure and travel between sites.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Climate controlled environment with occasional outdoor exposure.
Experience in Medical Staff Services and Provider Enrollment required.
