JOB SUMMARY:

  • Assisting the Manager, Medical Staff Services in the day-to-day operations of the OSS Health Medical Staff Office (MSO).
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting the integrity of the department.
  • Supporting OSS Health's philosophy and goals.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Baccalaureate degree in Business or Healthcare Administration preferred.
  • Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of progressive credentialing and enrollment experience required. Direct experience in Medical Staff Services and Provider Enrollment necessary. Certification preferred but not required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assisting the Manager in planning, organizing, and directing day-to-day operations of the Medical Staff Office.
  • Maintaining New Provider Insurance Par Listing and ensuring timely updates.
  • Coordinating services within the department and with other facilities.
  • Ensuring quality control of all operations based on regulatory standards.
  • Overseeing provider enrollment operations and facility enrollment.
  • Reviewing all Medical Staff applications prior to Committee Presentation.
  • Orienting new physicians and providers to policies and procedures.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Acting as a mentor to department staff and supervisor in the absence of the Manager.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in English for effective communication.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Sitting at a desk for long periods, handling office equipment, and occasional bending or stooping.
  • Ability to operate computer and other equipment.
  • May work under pressure and travel between sites.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Climate controlled environment with occasional outdoor exposure.

Experience in Medical Staff Services and Provider Enrollment required.
