This recruitment is for a six (6) month job rotation.

Successful candidates must possess the collaboration skills required to work effectively with the Operations Leadership team, staff labor unions, and community and private sector partners. The recruitment will be used to establish a list of qualified applicants and may be used to fill future vacancies.

To be eligible to apply, you must be a permanent employee, or hold a current nursing position with the Oregon Department of Corrections (DOC), Board of Parole and Post-Prison Supervision (BPPPS), or Oregon Corrections Enterprises (OCE). Position Overview

As our Medical Services Manager you will work cooperatively with stakeholders throughout the department to meet the medical needs of our adults in custody. You will coordinate teams of professionals, verify our serves are clinically appropriate and consistent with community health care standards, and provide information to administration. The person in this position will need to create strong working relationships throughout the institution and the division, exercise judgement, and provide leadership to the OSCI Health Services staff.

Minimum Qualifications

Seven years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience.

OR

Four years of related experience and a bachelor's degree in a related field.

Note: Possession of an unencumbered Registered Nurses License from the Oregon State Board of Nursing at the time of appointment.

Special Qualifications

  • License to practice in Oregon as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner.
  • Three years supervisory and/or teaching experience in an independent practice setting, and prior nursing experience.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing with a variety of individuals ranging from health care professionals to lay persons.
