Job Overview:

As a Master System Integration Programmer at Open Source Controls, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to seamlessly integrate and optimize various building control systems. You will be responsible for ensuring that these systems work harmoniously, enabling clients to achieve greater energy efficiency, operational cost savings, and improved comfort within their facilities. This person will have experience and focus with Niagara, Honeywell, Distech, and Johnson Controls

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Design, develop, and implement advanced system integration solutions for building control systems, with a focus on Niagara, Honeywell, Distech, and Johnson Controls. Including Access Control and PLC Controls as well as cameras and water/energy meters.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather requirements and understand project objectives.
  • Configure, program, and customize control systems to meet project-specific needs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring the seamless operation of all systems.
  • Perform system diagnostics and recommend enhancements to improve system performance and efficiency.
  • Create documentation and provide training to clients and team members on integrated systems.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in building automation and control systems.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in Niagara, Honeywell, Distech, and Johnson Controls platforms.
  • Perform work to OSC Standards on naming and programming.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred, but not necessary).
  • Proven expertise in integrating building control systems, with a strong focus on Niagara, Honeywell, Distech, and Johnson Controls.
  • Proficiency in programming languages and software tools relevant to control system integration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in building automation and controls.
  • Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Certification or training in Niagara, Honeywell, Distech, or Johnson Controls systems (preferred).
