Our team is growing, and we are looking for a Data Engineer in our Employee Benefits department. As a member of the financial analytic team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering reporting and analysis to a subset of HUB clients as determined by the department manager. The focus of the position is to provide analytics, financial analysis, and return on investment solutions, primarily for self-funded clients.

In this role, you will:

Collaborate with financial analysts, underwriters, and IT teams to identify opportunities for process automation.

Design, develop, and implement automated workflows for data extraction, analysis, and report generation.

Work closely with Excel files and other data sources to extract relevant information.

Create custom scripts or utilize existing tools to automate repetitive tasks.

Ensure data accuracy and integrity throughout the automation process.

Monitor and maintain automated workflows, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.

Provide training and support to end-users on new automated processes.

Build and optimize reporting solutions using Power BI, Excel, and other visualization tools.

Develop and maintain ETL processes, ensuring data quality and integrity.

Implement data warehousing solutions and understand the principles of data integration and storage.

Generate accurate and timely reports based on the processed data.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.

What you offer us:

Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.

Minimum of three years of experience in process automation, preferably within the insurance industry.

Proficiency in Excel, VBA, and other automation tools (e.g., UiPath, Blue Prism, or Python).

Strong understanding of medical/pharmacy underwriting principles.

Excellent problem-solving skills, well organized with attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced team environment

Experience with cloud data services, reporting, data extraction and infrastructure is a plus.

Required Experience: 5-7 years of relevant experience

Required Travel: No Travel Required

Required Education: Bachelor's degree (4-year degree)
