Job Summary:

The Warehouse Service Technician performs dual functions.
Essential responsibilities include troubleshooting, assembling, and maintaining machinery, both in-house and at customer sites. This position involves significant mechanical and basic electrical work, coordination with various departments, and accurate record-keeping in the ERP system.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Troubleshooting & Maintenance:

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in machinery.
  • Perform basic maintenance on equipment as necessary.

Assembly & Installation:

  • Assemble new machinery and equipment.
  • Utilize tools for lifting and assembling machinery parts.
  • Transport machinery products and equipment to customer sites.

Documentation & Communication:

  • Record equipment information and parts used.
  • Communicate with customers and internal departments regarding service updates and custom needs.
  • Maintain service records accurately.

Warehouse Operations:

  • Inspect, store, and ship products.
  • Maintain workspace organization and cleanliness.
  • Receive and put away incoming products.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Adhere to safety standards and procedures, including proper PPE usage.
  • Safely operate machinery such as forklifts.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Technical Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in using ERP software and Microsoft Office tools.

Communication:

  • Effective oral and written communication.
  • Ability to interact professionally with various stakeholders.

Problem Solving:

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to identify and implement solutions efficiently.

Teamwork:

  • Collaborative work approach with colleagues from different departments.

Safety:

  • Knowledge of safety standards and a commitment to following safety protocols.

Education and Experience:

Required:

  • Interest in learning machinery and service procedures.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical components.
  • Experience with machine and electrical device repair.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance for travel.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with warehouse and industrial settings.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Background in programming or instrumentation (PLC).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to use a computer, operate a phone, and perform physical tasks.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and engage in physical activities.
