About the Position: Architect, DevOps

Presidio is seeking a talented Architect for our DevOps department. In this role, you will focus on constructing teams and systems that empower organizations to develop modern platforms and cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will collaborate with clients to facilitate software engineering and DevOps teams by constructing necessary platforms and providing training on their utilization. Proficiency in AWS or Azure platforms, DevOps tools, Kubernetes, cloud-native development practices, and mentoring organizations through the complete lifecycle of microservices is essential.

Your Responsibilities

  • Act as a Technical intermediary among customers, business units, and support teams
  • Lead in designing and implementing scalable architectures for customer workloads, emphasizing continuous delivery, security measures, and governance protocols
  • Advocate for Cloud technologies, educating diverse teams on the benefits of AWS, Azure, and/or GCP platforms and related Services
  • Participate in and lead architecture talks based on Well-Architected standards, enhancing client trust and ensuring successful migration or creation of applications, software, and services on cloud platforms
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions to impart product knowledge to customers interested in Cloud technology
  • Share industry best practices with clients and communities
  • Create customer-facing content like whitepapers, tutorials, and blogs
  • Attend and deliver information at Industry events

Key Skills Needed

  • Deep understanding of software development processes, CI/CD, and change management
  • Expertise in building and deploying Cloud Infrastructure and Services following Well-Architected Framework strategies
  • Experience with containers and Kubernetes platforms like EKS, ECS, AKS, GK, or OpenShift
  • Proven leadership in dealing with clients directly and coordinating engineering teams (onsite and offshore)
  • Knowledge in software architectures for performance, scalability, and high availability
  • Experience with networking services for security, reliability, and scalability
  • Familiarity with DevOps, DevSecOps, Cloud Automation, Chaos Engineering, GitOps, Agile/Scrum, 12 Factor Development, Kubernetes, SSO, and more
  • Ability to present solutions to clients and software teams from Sales to implementation

Desired Skills

Hold certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect

Experience and Background

  • At least 7 years in roles involving DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, release operations, and system administration
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, IT, or related field
  • Over 7 years of experience in Cloud environments or Enterprise Datacenters
