JOB DESCRIPTION

The Big Ten Network (BTN) has a great opportunity for a Vice President (VP) of Finance The VP of Finance will manage and oversee the entire P&L and Cash Flow of the Big Ten Network, reporting to the SVP, Finance of Fox Sports. The VP of Finance will provide support for the President of BTN via informed analysis and regular reporting as well as separate deliverables for both Sports management and Fox Corporate leadership.

This role is hybrid and will require work onsite in our Chicago, IL office.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead a team of 5 including a Finance Director and support staff for Finance and Payroll.Review and submit all reporting related to monthly and quarterly closeManage annual budget, long-range plan and monthly forecast processServe as key business partner to all BTN executives and their teamsOversee financial controls and policies, including AP, AR, T&E, Payroll, Procurement, etcServe as a liaison with Affiliate Sales and Ad Sales Finance leadership to maintain visibility into top-line reviewBuild and develop relationships with the Big Ten Conference executive teamAd Hoc and special projects as neededWHAT YOU WILL NEED10+ years experience working in financeExceptional team leadership qualitiesStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAPAbility to listen and communicate well both verbally and in writingStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of the business and external partnersExceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsHigh proficiency in using computer systems particularly Advanced Excel, Microsoft Word, Database Management skills, and ERPs e.g. Workday Strong independent judgment and ability to work on multiple assignments at onceAbility to operate successfully in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environmentBA/BS in Finance or AccountingNICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKERExperience work in the Big 4Sports or entertainment experience #LI-DNI We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
