This role involves the service, installation, maintenance, and inspection of access control systems, including Gate Access Systems. Ensure all systems and components are upheld to industry standards and customer operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Estimator Manager on Access Control Bidding as necessary.
  • Install, dismantle, reconstruct, and program access and security systems or devices based on customer or company requirements.
  • Test and inspect systems under maintenance agreements.
  • Troubleshoot and repair systems efficiently.
  • Make necessary connections and adjustments, testing the functionality of all system components.
  • Perform site surveys as requested by management.
  • Keep manuals and documentation updated with advised changes.
  • Report completed activities, deferred tasks, or items needing further action to management.
  • Keep customers informed on job progress and completion status.
  • Generate service and status reports accurately.
  • Submit paperwork promptly and accurately, recording travel and service times, identifying warranties, changes, and code issues.
  • Independently work on customer sites.
  • Execute additional duties as delegated by management.

Education/Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent necessary.
  • Essential knowledge and experience in Access Control.
  • Technical school training preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications a must.
  • NICET Certifications advantageous.
  • Competency in operating hand and power tools.
  • Safe operation of fleet vehicle always required.
  • Experience in a dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Adherence to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
  • Undertake assigned duties, including Fire Alarm and Security System installations and maintenance.


Physical Demands:

  • May involve sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Ability to walk and stand required.
  • Comfortable with reaching, climbing (ladder/stairs), and bending.
  • Verbal communication via telephone necessary.
  • Capable of lifting and moving up to 60 pounds.
