Exciting Opportunity: Diesel Powertrain Calibration Engineer
As a Diesel Powertrain Calibration Engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating, testing, and optimizing vehicle attributes with a focus on emissions, drivability, performance, diagnostics, fuel economy, and NVH. Take a look at what the position involves:
- Modify vehicle and powertrain calibrations to meet various attributes
- Specialize in Engine combustion setpoints, SCR Aftertreatment operation, DPF Regen Mode operation, and more
- Analyze data and regress model calibrations
- Collaborate with software algorithm suppliers for feature evaluation
- Travel to remote development locations for vehicle testing
- Document progress and methods used in calibration and validation
- Utilize models and simulation to optimize powertrain calibrations
Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Excellent data analysis capabilities
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Valid Driver's license
Skills Preferred:
- 5+ years of powertrain calibration experience
- Proficiency in Matlab and Calibration Tools
- Understanding of Emission Regulatory requirements
- Experience with powertrain control strategies
- Knowledge of internal combustion engines and test methods
Experience Required:
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Excellent data analysis capabilities
