Description:

Project Purpose:
  • Deliver, validate, and maintain on-board diagnostic (OBD) solutions for powertrain technologies needed to meet global diagnostic regulatory requirements.
Project Expectations:
  • Develop and deliver Reliability and Robustness Documentation (DFMEA, P-Diagrams, Boundary Diagrams, Calibration Guidelines, Diagnostics Operations Summary, Fault Demonstration Methods) Perform diagnostic routines, report findings and give recommendations to improve system reliability and durability.
  • Perform HIL/SIL, on-road, emissions, and/or dynamometer data collection to validate and calibrate diagnostic monitoring capability of new powertrain technologies. Identify and aid in resolving OBD issues with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Author scripts using Matlab, Python, and/or other scripting languages to analyze system/diagnostic behavior and support the calibration process
Skills Required:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Proactive and works well independently Good team player Excel and Matlab working knowledge.
Skills Preferred:
  • Working knowledge of product development system engineering principles
  • Working knowledge of basic combustion engine operating principles Understanding basic principles of controls engineering Knowledge of OBD regulations (EPA and CARB) Experience with calibration development tools.
Experience Required:
  • 1 year minimum experience in automotive product development.
Education Required:
  • BSEE, BSME and/or BS-Computer Science/Engineering.
