The Privacy Specialist is responsible for managing and investigating privacy concerns, providing subject matter expertise, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement privacy solutions. You'll assist with policy development, training, and ensuring clients' rights to access their protected health information.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Manage and investigate internal and external reports of privacy concerns, providing timely responses and solutions.

+ Serve as a subject matter expert on privacy matters, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement privacy solutions.

+ Assist in developing and delivering policies, procedures, training, and resources to support privacy compliance and organizational awareness.

+ Support clients'/patients' rights to inspect, amend, and restrict access to their protected health information.

+ Maintain Business Associate Agreements and Qualified Service Organization Agreements.

+ Contribute to the day-to-day operations of the Privacy Work Plan.

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, preferred

+ Privacy-related certification such as Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC), Certified in Healthcare Privacy and Security (CHPS), or Certified HIPAA Privacy and Security Expert (CHPSE), preferred.

Additional Qualifications:

+ Knowledge of HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2, and the ability to interpret and summarize relevant policies and regulations.

+ Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to convey complex topics clearly.

+ Ability to interpret data and write reports.

+ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service and establish positive working relationships.

+ Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism, integrity, and initiative.

+ Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

+ Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
