Clinical Nursing Instructor

Nursing Instructor to join our Academic Practice Partnerships team. of the Division of Nursing, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future
of patient care and student development.
The Clinical Nursing Instructor functions within the roles
Clinical Nursing Instructor is responsible for teaching within the accelerated
BSN nursing program of designated university affiliation and managing
university/community educational affiliations that enhance performance, promote
Department of Nursing (DON). The Academic Partnerships team
acts as the liaison for all academic programs at MedStar Washington Hospital
They oversee the clinical relationships with undergraduate and graduate
nursing programs and are responsible for all clinical nursing practicums and
Demonstrates the clinical expertise, leadership, management, communication skills and knowledge of education theory and principle necessary to develop academic courses/educational programs and achieve optimal educational outcomes.
Identifies, coordinates, and plans didactic and clinical education for student nurses as assigned by the university program coordinator and MWHC Program Director.
Utilizes teaching techniques that promote critical thinking and evidence-based practice incorporating principles of adult learning theory.Participates as education expert on committees, task forces, focus groups and projects to support Department of Nursing initiatives.
Plans and conducts orientation and on-going meetings with university/community affiliates that facilitates university/community personnel acclimation to the MWHC clinical environment and compliance with hospital policies and procedures in conformance with departmental objectives and accreditation standards.
Bachelor's degree in nursing (Required), master's degree in nursing, Healthcare, or Business Administration (Required)5-7 years of progressively responsible job-related experience in nursing (Required)
1-2 years of teaching experience in a BSN program (Required)
