General Summary of Position
Oversees the day-to-day operations of our life support instructors in order to provide high-quality training courses. This role supervises, educates, coaches, and inspires our Instructors to ensure compliance with our various accrediting agencies. Provides life-support training alongside our Instructors and performs equipment assessments, customer service basic maintenance, and inspections as needed. Assists, as needed, with the planning and coordination of training courses MedStar SiTEL provides both internally and externally to our healthcare system.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Associate's degree required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience
- 3-4 years 4 years of instructor or educational delivery experience required and
- 1-2 years Management and/or supervisor responsibilities preferred and
- Hospital or clinical experience preferred
Licenses and Certifications
- AHA BLS Instructor - AHABLSI American Heart Association BLS Instructor certification required and
- Health Services\ACLS INSTRC - ACLS Instructor American Heart Association ACLS Instructor certification required and
- Health Services\PALS INSTRC - PALS Instructor American Heart Association PALS Instructor certification preferred and
- Health Services\NRP INSTRC - NRP Instructor American Heart Association Neonatal Resuscitation Program Instructor certification preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and other relevant applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Desire and drive to acquire knowledge and skills necessary to perform the job more effectively.
- Responsible for performing skilled computer duties with high attention to detail.
- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
