Job Description

Exciting Opportunity to Join Our Team

  • Under the direction of the Office Manager or Assistant Office Manager, this role involves entry-level to routine customer service tasks.
  • Responsibilities include clerical duties, front desk operations, revenue collection, and accounting at Lake Tawakoni State Park.
  • Engage with visitors in person, over the phone, and in writing, handle license and permit sales, and manage automated campsite registration.
  • Perform clerical tasks such as report preparation, correspondence processing, and headquarters cleaning.
  • Operate credit card, campsite registration, and sales machines, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Work closely with minimal supervision, following guidelines and procedures while handling additional assigned tasks.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Not required.
  • Licensure: Valid State driver's license if driving is part of the role.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience: One year in clerical, cash handling, or customer service roles.
  • Languages: Bilingual proficiency in English and another critical language.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and front desk handling abilities.
  • Capable of making sound and timely decisions independently.
  • Adept at cash handling and revenue accountability.
  • Ability to work well in team environments and under high stress conditions.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and safety-conscious.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Work in a public park setting with varying schedules, including weekends and holidays.
  • Part-time or full-time status may vary, impacting leave accrual and insurance rates.
  • May involve operating a State vehicle and occasional travel.
  • Non-smoking environment in State premises.
