Nurse Manager of Critical Care
Overview: Join our team to oversee and assess the care delivered within our Critical Care Units. Share insights with the Department Director on patient care status, budget forecasts, and quality enhancement initiatives. By anticipating future requirements, you'll enhance patient care quality in alignment with Lake City Medical Center's mission and objectives. Collaborate with nursing units and the Staffing Coordinator to ensure optimal staffing levels across all units.

  • Display advanced clinical expertise and support fellow team members in providing top-tier care.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, leadership abilities, and staff management proficiency.
  • Demonstrate adeptness in planning, organizing, and utilizing personnel resources efficiently.
  • Showcase expertise in the nursing process and actively engage in unit-based Quality Improvement processes.
  • Maintain a work environment conducive to quality patient care by utilizing resources effectively and assisting staff as needed.
  • Cultivate excellent customer service skills in interactions with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Act as a patient and family advocate by upholding privacy rights and safeguarding sensitive information.
  • Engage in patient care and education based on thorough assessments and patient age considerations.
  • Collaborate with the department director to plan educational initiatives and ensure ongoing competencies.
  • Efficiently manage personnel resources to drive departmental operations effectively.
  • Develop and oversee the orientation schedule for new employees, providing necessary guidance and evaluations.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: BSN required or in-progress LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Active Florida RN License and BLS certification EXPERIENCE: Prior acute care experience with progressive management exposure preferred SKILLS & ABILITIES: Proficient in written and verbal communication, possesses knowledge of infection control, empathetic listener, and basic computer literacy.
