Description:

  • The Lead Scrum Master/Release Train Engineer (RTE) has ultimate accountability for orchestrating the Agile processes and execution, escalating impediments, managing risk and directing Agile Release Train (ART) level continuous improvement.
  • This role is accountable for ensuring all ART events and processes are adhered to. The RTE establishes an effective management team that allows the ART to grow to scale. Success of this role is measured in terms of how well events/processes are planned & executed, as well as the success and predictability of the teams delivering on their PI Objectives and commitments.
  • The RTE in this role will be responsible for one ART. The RTE is a lean-agile leader and will also be responsible for promoting agile values including promoting systems thinking, supporting the teams' and trains' commitments, leading change, and leading by example.
  • Hybrid Work Model- Onsite 2 days per week (T-W-TH) and as needed for planning events and ceremonies
  • If they will be supporting a project, please provide brief description (otherwise, will rely on Job Description/Responsibilities): Focus of the delivery work is regulatory/compliance, regualtory and financial reporting, foundational infrstructure to support target state data and applications

  • Type of background you are looking for (education, # yrs experience, etc.): Bachelor's Degree Preferred, 5 yrs experience as a Scrum Master, 5 yrs experience in Banking/Financial Services/or other Highly Regulated Industry, 3 years experience working with medium to large complexity efforts, Proficiency with Agile Management tools (Azure Dev Ops, Aha, ServiceNow, etc.)
  • Top 3-5 Skills Needed: SAFe certified SM, Experience leading distributed/virtual teams, strong knowledge of Continuos Integration (CI) implementations
  • Top 3-5 Soft Skills for culture fit: Effective presentation and written communication aligned to audience, Ability to gather relevant informaton to inform decisions, Experience coaching and mentoring
  • Any certifications required?: SAFe SM
