Job Duties and Responsibilities

As a Principal Platform Engineer at DISH you must be a natural problem solver, you think the best answer is the simplest and most elegant. You'll work within an agile delivery team and use your skills to build the next generation of products to unleash the benefits of 5G. We are looking for engineers with a passion for understanding the interactions between our 5G network and the Enterprise all within a fully cloud-native ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of customer requirements and development of mediation strategy and delivery roadmap aligned with reference E2E architecture
  • Taking ownership and responsibility for the configuration of new offers and network integrations
  • Support and communicate with all relevant persons engaged directly or indirectly such as product owners, testers, and other platform engineers
  • Represent the revenue management development domain with respect to the technical implementation of mediation and charging initiatives and features.
  • Create and maintain user stories to implement robust resilient technical solutions
  • Advise Product Owner and Scrum master on all individual development tasks (i.e., user stories)
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of commercial platforms and their native capabilities and provide technical leadership for the team
  • Deliver solution designs incorporating best practices for the platform and revenue management domain
  • Support team in the creation and grooming of User Stories
  • Configure/code to user story specifications and perform applicable unit testing
  • Package deployment and support release of necessary configuration and code

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Master's degree preferred
  • 12+ years of experience working in the Telecommunications Industry including Tier 1 / Tier 2 operators
  • 12+ years of experience in delivering software solutions covering all aspects from inceptions to deployment and beyond

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Mediation: Experience with meditation platforms such as DigitalRoute, MediationZone, CSG Intermediate, Openet, Nokia SPS, etc.
  • Architecture and solution design experience in Telecom operator's BSS/OSS domain and network-facing application integration architecture
  • Experience working with teams in diverse geographic locations
  • Experience in planning and managing small teams of technical and functional SME
  • Experience with cloud deployment environments

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $154,275.00/Year - $181,500.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
