Certified Medical Assistant requirements and qualifications:
  1. Active Medical Certification form an accredited school – prefer an Associate Degree
  2. 5 years of recent experience working for a healthcare provider/clinic
  3. Excellent Communication skills- with a friendly and positive attitude
  4. Strong Medical Terminology skills
  5. Previous experience reading and calling in prescriptions and labs
  6. Experienced with EMR software program(s)
Certified Medical Assistant duties:
  1. Check patients out and provide follow up appointment or referrals
  2. Triage Patients
  3. Rooming patients, turn rooms over and prep for the next day
  4. Read and call in prescriptions, get labs read and notify urgency level
  5. Patient Charting
