Description:
Growing sheet metal fabrication company based in the Greater New York City area is seeking a full-time employee to fill the position of Operations & Quality Assurance Manager.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
Implement and ensure compliance with quality control proceduresResponsible for increasing productivity while reducing waste and reworkSchedule the production of architectural sheet metal components and delegate work accordinglyResponsible for the accuracy and precision of each piece fabricated in the shopManage shop technician and driver staff schedules and workloadsMaintain equipment & machinerySupervise product packaging and labelling compliant with company standardsSchedule deliveries in line with customer demandsControl inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with perpetual dataFollow company policies and proceduresPerform Branch Sales and General management activities as needed.
Qualifications for the Role:
Experience in architectural sheet metal fabricating industry, Quality Management, and building supply distribution.
Basic computer skills (prior experience with Agility/DMSI is preferred)Strong management and delegation of staff skillsHandle paperwork well and can maintain an organized systemWorks with a customer centric attitudeExcellent communication skillsSafety ManagementTeam player who has a sense of urgency and can work in a flexible and fast paced environment.

Wage Range:
