Job Description

We are currently seeking a Bookkeeper for our financial services client located near the Galleria area. The company is a small, privately owned business with a strong history of employee retention. They have been providing top-notch services to their clients for over 30 years.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone experienced in bookkeeping and QuickBooks to contribute to the success of a small business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily QuickBooks entries for two companies
  • Utilize QuickBooks for generating reports and other functions
  • Handle accounts payable check writing for both companies, TMS weekly, OTC as required
  • Conduct monthly bank account reconciliations for 2 operating accounts and 4 secondary accounts
  • Manage ACH entries from Bank Portal for business payments and collections
  • Process online payroll for both companies twice a month
  • Coordinate with CPA to prepare Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet statements and provide backup for Tax Returns annually
  • Submit monthly Sales Tax payments for both companies
  • Ensure Franchise Tax is filed yearly in May
  • Prepare 1099s for the company annually
  • Handle W2s for both companies on an annual basis
  • Manage bank deposits for the company as needed, including mobile deposits
  • Perform bank entries annually for Family Foundation Golf Tournament
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Office 365 products
  • Produce Cash Flow Reports and P & L statements as required
  • Update and Print TMS Origin Account daily
