The starting salary for this position ranges from $19.50 to $23.88 per hour.
Position Overview:
The Resident Care Associate (RCA) at Eskaton is responsible for providing personal care, companion support, nursing assistance, and other assigned tasks to residents within Eskaton communities. Duties include direct resident care, aiding in daily living activities, running errands, personal shopping, and documenting care provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides companion care such as reading, visiting, and attending to personal tasks as per the resident's care plan.
- Assists with bathing, showering, and maintaining resident cleanliness and hygiene.
- Maintains resident living spaces, organizes areas, and makes beds.
- Helps residents with dressing, ensuring privacy and dignity.
- Prepares light meals, schedules medical appointments, and supports residents' independence.
- Assists with mobility exercises, applies medical devices, and collects specimens as necessary.
- Contributes to laundry, emergency protocol, resident activities, and more.
Requirements
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D) preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
Training and Experience:
Six months of personal care experience in a residential or long-term care setting preferred. Valid first aid certification required.
Job Knowledge:
Experience in delivering personal care services in a residential environment. Ability to handle new situations effectively, work well within a healthcare team, and follow instructions meticulously.
The selected candidate must pass Eskaton's post-offer, pre-employment checks, including a background screening, drug test, COVID test, TB screening, and health assessment.
