Role Overview:

The Customer Care Representative will engage with homeowners and trade partners to conduct final orientations, diagnose issues, schedule, and execute warranty service tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate trade partner repairs in residences post-delivery.
  • Respond to service claims through the Regional Operating Center or division within 48 hours.
  • Arrange inspections of service claims within seven days of receipt.
  • Schedule work appointments with trades for necessary repairs within 10 days.
  • Achieve completion of warranty items for customers in a single visit 80% of the time during the initial appointment.
  • Coordinate inspections with homeowners, evaluate routine warranty claims, and ensure all service requests are completed within 23 days.
  • Provide timely updates to the Customer Care Manager regarding progress and scope of work.
  • Maintain positive relationships with homeowners, delivering knowledgeable and professional service.
  • Assess trade partner and product performance, offering feedback to the Customer Care Manager regarding quality.
  • Participate in emergency on-call rotation as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Care Manager on special projects or as directed by the Division President.
  • Attend department meetings and keep accurate logs of service requests and work performed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: One year of experience in residential customer care or construction.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent work experience accepted.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to handle confrontational situations with professionalism.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
  • Open to constructive feedback.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires the ability to work for extended periods in a construction trailer, operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climb stairs and ladders, and lift or carry equipment weighing over 50 pounds. Finger dexterity is necessary for operating a computer keyboard and calculator.
