Job Description: Custodians are responsible for heavy cleaning and light maintenance tasks using manual and equipment-assisted methods. They ensure facilities are clean, sanitary, and well-maintained. Additionally, custodians conduct safety checks and monitor mechanical systems. They may be part of the carpet crew, grounds crew, or other custodial duties within the district. Some custodians may also act as weekend building rental monitors based on their shift assignments.

Compensation: Grade 5S: $31.08 per hour (Monday - Friday, 3 pm - 11 pm)
Work Hours: 7.5 hours per day
Work Year: 10 months
Bargaining Unit: Education Support Staff Association (ESSA)

Job Qualifications/Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks
- Basic knowledge of minor building maintenance
- Proficiency in English reading, writing, and verbal communication
- Customer service skills for weekend building rental monitors
- Valid State of Alaska driver's license may be required for specific duties and locations
