Position Purpose:
The Plant Supervisor II is responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient handling and processing of regulated medical waste. This role ensures the plant operates in compliance with regulations, adheres to safety measures, and maintains productivity and profitability.Key Job Activities:
  • Select, train, and develop a safe and efficient staff.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety measures, maintaining productivity and profitability.
  • Manage overall cost control of the plant.
  • Drive continuous improvement in productivity standards and worker safety.
  • Proactively engage with personnel to achieve business objectives.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and address hazards or unsafe conditions promptly.
  • Provide training for new and existing plant personnel regularly.
  • Conduct facility audits and review regulatory paperwork.
  • Ensure equipment maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Carry out additional assigned duties and responsibilities.
Education:

Required Education: Associates or Equivalent

Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience, including managerial experience preferably in a plant or manufacturing setting.
  • Understanding of plant operations and reports interpretation.
  • Proficiency in barcode scanning and basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of Hazardous Materials and OSHA Regulations.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and perform tasks safely, productively, and following protocols.
