The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) focuses on assisting individuals facing mental health issues, substance use disorders, as well as intellectual and developmental disabilities, among others.

The Executive Director of the Georgia Opioid Crisis Abatement Trust will play a key role in providing leadership and support for the Trust.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitation of the Opioid Trust
  • Serving as the recordkeeper for the Trust and maintaining necessary documentation
  • Overseeing financial activities related to the Trust's operations
  • Acting as the central point of contact and liaison for the Opioid Trust
  • Developing and executing communication and marketing strategies for the program

Desired Minimum Qualifications:

  • Applicants should have a graduate degree in business, public administration, healthcare administration, or another human services-related field
  • At least five years of executive leadership experience in relevant sectors
  • Experience with business functions such as marketing, public relations, human resources, and financial management

Related Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Ability to set and achieve goals independently
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience in rational thinking and decision-making
  • Proficiency in utilizing business communication tools
  • Knowledge of behavioral health services
