Job Description

Job Summary:

As a Manager, Income Tax, US, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing our provision and compliance process. Your responsibilities will include assisting with IRS and State Income Tax Audits, ensuring accurate reporting of tax matters, preparing transfer pricing documentation, supporting R&D tax credit studies, and collaborating with external tax compliance service providers. Additionally, you will contribute to the analysis of return to provision adjustments, participate in global tax provision efforts, and assist with special projects to implement tax strategies.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage and support tax audits and disputes, including preparing responses to tax authorities and ensuring compliance with deadlines.
  • Identify, research, and evaluate the appropriate disclosure of tax positions to mitigate future tax controversies.
  • Assist in preparing transfer pricing documentation for intercompany transactions.
  • Support the annual study of research and development tax credits.
  • Assist in preparation and review of U.S. (federal/state) and international income tax compliance.
  • Contribute to return to provision adjustments analysis.
  • Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders on tax, financing, and operational matters.
  • Continuously identify process improvement opportunities to streamline and automate data for efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • CPA required; Masters in Taxation strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of tax accounting experience with a public accounting firm or equivalent in-house experience.
  • Experience in U.S. and international tax and tax accounting preferred.
  • Strong understanding of US corporate tax/ASC 740 and general understanding of international tax.
  • Proficiency in research platforms such as IntelliConnect, BNA, RIA, CCH.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
