In this role, you will be responsible for deploying and supporting IBM Planning Analytics Cloud solutions, contributing to business value through your technical expertise.

Primary Purpose

The Senior Software Engineer role focuses on deploying and supporting IBM Planning Analytics Cloud (TM1) solutions. You will design, develop, enhance, and integrate TM1 solutions on the IBM Cloud. Responsibilities include creating and managing TM1 objects, writing TurboIntegrator scripts, and establishing complex rules for cubes. Collaborating with Business clients to establish requirements for solution building, you will play a key role in deciding whether to buy or build based on business needs. Working closely with internal IT teams and vendors, you will document and design solutions based on business requirements while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity protocols.

In addition, as the Senior Software Engineer, you will configure, code, and implement solutions, including configuring and supporting associated interfaces and platforms. Adherence to internal development processes and application lifecycle guidelines is crucial in this position.

Moreover, this role involves demonstrating high-level technical capabilities, providing leadership and guidance to junior team members, and managing vendor relationships strategically.

Duties/Responsibilities

Value Delivery, Strategy, and Planning

- TM1 Development: Design, enhance, and manage TM1 solutions on the IBM Cloud, including creating and managing TM1 objects, scripting, and setting rules.
- Deliver processes, solutions, and projects by applying judgment and selecting appropriate methodologies to inform recommendations.

Delivery and Execution

- Implement, integrate, and configure third-party applications for cloud-based services.
- Provide post-implementation support for systems as required, fostering positive relationships with clients and colleagues to achieve SLAs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensure system compliance.
- Identify and resolve issues in development, testing, and production environments, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate with vendors for issue resolution.

Collaboration

- Communicate effectively with management and end users during all project phases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high performance and security standards.
- Build relationships with stakeholders, service providers, and architecture teams to drive innovative solutions.
- Perform assigned duties while focusing on core responsibilities.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 4 years of experience in software engineering or related roles.
Technical Skills/Knowledge
  • Proven skills in applications development and maintenance.
  • Database modeling/design.
  • Deep understanding of IBM Planning Analytics Cloud and its integration with other systems.
  • Proficiency in TM1 architecture, scripting, and rule development.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and optimizing system performance.
  • Knowledge of SDLC methodologies and change management procedures.
  • Experience with software Testing and Configuration Management tools.
  • Ability to compare factors for technology selection aligned with business strategy.
  • Experience in collaboration platforms like Microsoft O365 and Teams.

Preferred Qualifications
