SUMMARY OF POSITION

Golden Dog Title & Trust is seeking an Escrow Officer / Branch Manager who will spearhead a high-performing team within a full-service title, settlement, underwriting and vendor management services firm. As a key leader, you will oversee the daily operations, ensuring seamless service delivery to our parent company, Dream Finders Homes, Inc. (NASDAQ: DFH), owner of Crescent Homes, Inc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversees daily activity of a title & escrow branch.
  • Supervises staff and is responsible for coaching, mentoring and training all escrow staff.
  • Directs and manages workflow and resolves escalated issues.
  • Works with internal and external customers to manage all aspects of routine residential resale, refinance or builder escrow transactions, including document preparation and the accurate preparation and submission of the closing disclosure.
  • Ability to read and understand title commitments.
  • Ability to resolve title issues (e.g. corrective deeds, vesting, federal tax liens, abstracts of judgment, bankruptcies, mineral rights, boundary disputes and encroachments)
  • Understands real estate regulations and guidelines.
  • Follows company standards and practices when processing transactions, as well as applicable state laws and guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains cordial relationship with realtors, lenders, builders, buyers and sellers to promote/solicit business.
  • Adheres to company policies and guidelines.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE:

  • Tennessee Licensed Title Agent
  • Tennessee Notary Public
  • Minimum of 5 years of escrow experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of SoftPro a plus
  • Builder title experience preferred.
  • High school diploma is required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. Vision abilities required by the job are close vision. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to handle, feel, and operate office equipment such as a computer, copier, and office supplies. Employee also may have to drive to perform assigned job duties.
