JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare facilities and adjust equipment
  • Handle contrasts and materials
  • Screen patients for safety before imaging
  • Administer contrast material and monitor patients
  • Clean and disinfect equipment following procedures
  • Position patients correctly for imaging procedures
  • Collect patient history and explain procedures
  • Administer MRI studies and monitor patient's condition
  • Review MRI scans for quality and maintain patient documentation
  • Perform office duties and ensure equipment maintenance
  • Participate in research projects

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS: Travel may be required to cover different locations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE and REGISTRATION:

  • Graduate of accredited school or military program
  • Current certification in Radiography or MRI
  • Valid Radiologic Technology License required
  • BLS certification needed

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Minimum one year of relevant experience within the last three years
  • Proficient in using computer systems for processing information
  • Skilled in administering contrast agents
  • Knowledgeable about safety protocols
  • Ability to communicate procedures clearly to patients
  • Understanding of medical terminology

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Capable of solving practical problems with limited standardization
  • Ability to interpret various instructions

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Collaboration with physicians and maintaining patient confidentiality

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Regularly required to talk, stand, walk, and use hands
  • Specific vision abilities needed for close vision

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position may involve exposure to infectious diseases. Proper safety measures and vaccinations are provided.
